"Give Me a Chance and I’ll Give You a Choice"
Dear neighbor,

     I'm running for the New York State Assembly because our State is on the wrong course and I have the leadership skills and determination to get us back on course.

     Every year, more than 100,000 of our friends and neighbors throughout our great State, relocate to other States like Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Arizona.

     Those who visit our beautiful Empire State would be compelled to ask, "Why?"  "Why would there be such a mass exodus from our wonderful State?"

     Our property taxes have increased by more than 60% over the last five years and they are 74% higher than the national average.  Working families can't keep up with the variable and ever increasing property taxes, which have fluxuated between 6% to 30%.

     Sadly, more than 5.6 million of our neighbors remain uninsured.

     The Bronx River Parkway, which serves as the main commuter artery for many working families living in our district, has consistently been flooded over many years and yet no one has been willing to take on the leadership challenge of working with county, state, and federal agencies to stop the flooding and to make our parkway safe.

     With all of these challenges facing the citizens of our district and State, Albany just passed a budget that is $10 billion more than last year's budget, a total of $113.4 billion, representing a nearly 10% increase in out of control speeding.

     Despite all of this spending, Albany is projecting a deficit of $3 billion in the following year, entrenching a perennial pattern of deficit spending.

    Sadly, Assemblywoman Amy Paulin has only exacerbated these problems. Over the last 5 ½ years, my opponent's only response to these challenges has been to vote to raise taxes on 100 different occasions.

     I know we can do better!  It's time for our State Assembly to work for our working families instead of working families working for the State Assembly.  The legislature may write the checks, but the people of New York own the checkbook.

     I've introduced a common sense plan to get our State back on track. My plan is called  "The People's Four Point Platform" and it calls for;

  • Cutting taxes and State spending
  • Improving access to healthcare
  • Ensuring a better education for all
  • Making Our Bronx River Parkway Flood Free and Safe

     A donation of any size will be deeply appreciated.  You can make a contribution of up to $3,400.

     Please feel free to contact me at anytime to share your ideas and feedback.  Together we can take back our Assembly.
